Byzantine Gladiolus

Byzantine Gladiolus (Gladiolus communis subs. byzantinus)

They are just coming into flower now. I love them, though they seed themselves and pop up in unexpected places - but does it matter in a cottage garden?

Mine are in bud, not open yet tho. I wish mine would self-seed, Barbara. THink there is prob no room for them as my borders are....erm....well-stocked?! (full to bursting point more like..)

These don't mind full borders - they pop up amongst other plants with NO trouble!
