Good drainage and a sheltered position. I mulch it each autumn and wonder if I'll see it again but it's increasing each year

Andrew, as they are "lilies" doe they get bothered by lilly beetle? Love it by the way.

Tetrarch - no, it's not in the lily family, it's a ginger. Lily beetles don't touch it. This is the problem with common names, they don't really link plants from the same family together
