It sure is Karensusan....looks much better from a distance tho' but there is a big gap in the middle because I had to cut back the Knautia and the daylily put on a very poor show!

I've always fancied getting this plant but thought it wouldn't survice the scottish climate - obviously, I thought wrong. This is a lovely flower. Do you grow other heleniums?

These are the only ones I have Phs. They are taking a while to get going this year. Like a lot of things!
I did try Rubedeckia (?) but they didnt survive the cold winter 2010

Phs, mine are now lovely and I cant believe I have spent all of these years without them so I would definitely recommend...

I'm pleased yours are now looking good Marion. I was exactly the same as you were last year. The flower heads on my are still very green - but that's the least of my worries - half of my garden is under 6 inches of water!!!!!
