Sunflower_on_balcony_2005_006.jpg (Helianthus annuus)

This was the tallest Sunflower I grew on my balcony during the summer of 2005.

The neighbour above us had the England flag out on the balcony for months.

That was brave! The neighbour got the best view of it! Pity you didn't get the neighbour downstairs to grow one, then you could have seen it looking in on your balcony. :o)

I live in the flat below the balcony with the flags! We have no neighbours below because we live on the ground floor. If you read my description above again I think you will understand.

I was very pleased with the Sunflowers, especially as they grew so well in my shallow troughs.

Yes, I understood perfectly. What I didn't know was that you lived on the ground floor. I assumed that you had grown the sunflower on your balcony in a large pot and, as it had grown so tall the flower could be seen perfectly from the balcony above; therefore, if you were living above another neighbour and THEY had kept your sunflower on their balcony, you could have had the best view of its flower.

What else?

See who else is growing Helianthus annuus.

See who else has plants in genus Helianthus.
