My Claw flower bracts will be opening soon. There's several stems starting to bloom. Photo taken on Memorial Day - May 30th, 2011.

Yes, the flower spike can be 12" or more long.

Large lol you would nt miss them looking at the whole plant like some plants that flower but the flower is hard to see because of the foliage.
