This is a Butterfly form, and the hybridizer was trying to create daylilies in the extreme spatulate form. Go to www.casarocca.com to see his comments about this.

Aaaah yes I've been on that website Wylie, Marc King is a member of the BHHS and often comments on their chat site ;-), 'Dancing Summerbird' is another that immediately springs to mind.
Yes this has lots of buds still to come Gg I have several still with a few flowers and a couple, so far, getting ready to rebloom, one that's been wonderful this year is 'Watchyl Digital Scream', one of the first to start flowering and still going strong. If the unamed yellow is the one I sent I can tell you its a tetraploid, I tried crossing it with Wylies 'Lunacy' thinking that edge would be nice and its forming a huge pod :-)
