I've seen Hibiscus with many flowers in Hayward during January. Of course, it doesn't happen every year.
I just saw a big storm is hitting the Bay Area. It's heading down here.

The last three years,I could say - Hibiscus are blooming a little now in January. Not this year. Its a throwback year. Bougainvillea's are all leaf,no flowers also.
Unrelenting 50's all month. No breaks into the 60's at least this year.
