Looks like a giant flower. Reminds me quite new sort of Hibiscus, it also has large flowers.

Thanks Sticki...if it's a normal one like this give it 3 months of dry no water when they die back... then start watering again, if like Meanie's a cybister that needs a cold spell normally...
