My friend’s tropical garden in northern San Diego County.
There’s many tropical plants under the Kentia palms. I took some cuttings from the beautiful 4 year old Coleus. Pic taken Dec. 17, 2022.

I’m familiar with this fern. It doesn’t look like a hapu’ u fern.

Hmm,mine does not have that long tip on the leaves. Must be another tree fern.
Soaking wet up here Andy with MUCH more to come. Now,it flips to will my dry plants rot this winter? The caudiciforms in particular. Mine are not the ultra tender types kept in greenhouses...but this kind of weather could be a problem.

I caught the 4 year old Coleus!...they are such great plants but here never live through a winter. At least that was before. I should try them again. 4 years is amazing.

Stan,
You’re correct it’s Sadleria. Sorry. I meant to say: I’m not familiar with this fern. My friend confirmed it with me tonight.
I took several cuttings of this coleus. Can you believe the cuttings are rooting, already. My friend was going to trim it back anyway.
We received just over 1/2 inch of rain overnight… maybe over an inch from late Saturday through early Monday morning. That would be terrific!
If you have free-draining soil the plants should be ok.
I had Coleus ‘Amour’ growing in the front yard everywhere. They were three years old. I finally got tired of them and took them all out. Now, I want them back. 😂
Here’s a pic from 2008.
