Dragon Fruit cactus is very commonly grown here. I even have one...its fruit is very useful as a strong anti-oxidant. It is grown in parts of San Diego County as a crop...however, it is widely grown in Mexico and Central America as a very popular fruit crop. This large specimen is located at Quail Botanical Gardens.
