So it's not hardy???
Do I need to dig it up???

Yes it is usually hardy Tommymoo, think it was just that really bad winter we had, finished off a few things in my garden that are usually really hardy, lost all except one of my lavaterias !!!!!!!(had about 7 dotted about, grown from cuttings), they're usually tough as old boots, still has made room for a few new shrubs :-), just got to decide what now.

Thanks for the precious info Simbad!
You've lost 6 lavaterias??? Sorry to hear that. But as you said, on the flip side, it's a good chance to have something new :)

What else?

See who else is growing Imperata Cylindrica.

See who else has plants in genus Imperata.

This photo is of "Grass (Imperata Cylindrica 'Red Baron')" in Tommymoo's garden
