I've started some seed off. They can take several months, but I'll let you know. I'd give them a couple of winters under your sheltered areas before planting out. Not proper hardy, but in a well chosen spot they will survive and thrive.

DD - I'll let you know as well if they germinate. Only thing is that a carefully chosen spot includes fairly dry in the winter.
