One of my Iris crosses. A Tall Bearded Iris at different times of the day. I am calling it Rose 'N Purple.

I see the bottom left pic as the most representative of the colour I perceive to be its true colour. Also the standards have become paler as the flower aged. I think using Goy, ie taking photos and looking at others' has made me more aware of what perhaps we take for granted.

It was such a hot sunny day here yesterday. The wooden evening seat was too hot to sit on at 6pm without cushions.

Is the top right the true colour? Its amazing isn't it - when you go round the garden, because you know what colour things are, you possibly often don't note the difference the light makes. The bottom right is gorgeous.
