My first Jasione was a great success last year so I added this one which looks exactly the same, but has a different name. My first one was J. perennis.

The one I had last year flowered prolifically for a long time Cinders and was evergreen. This year it started flowering earlier and is going well in spite of having been moved. I can't see the difference between them though....perhaps if I picked a flower and held it beside the other one.....

Its a pretty little plant, hadnt heard of it before I found it this year. So I presume it will stand the winter then.

As long as the drainage is excellent and sharp. Last year I had mine in about 3" pea gravel and it was great. I'm going to dig some grit in around it now I've moved it.

I bought one this year and it has done well, think it is a little paler than this.
