Mamagem, I just love the little flowers on this succulent - a flower within a flower.

It does look like a flower with in a flower and lovely colours on the petals too and love the way the petals turn backwards.

Morgana, I'm always on the lookout for plants that are a little bit different now - thanks to GOY.

This is what I do too but alway have, I use to get plants years ago rare then they become popular lol I still love my passionflowers though all sorts of different unusual flowers on them.

I'm afraid I was always quite a staid, uninteresting gardener who grew all the usual things - always too busy to get really interested in anything else. This site has certainly opened my eyes!

The unusual over here now is the old plants that are dying out so some people are doing their bit in collecting and growing them so they dont fade right out, I try and look out for them but have only but a few.

I can remember things that both my grandmothers would grow in their gardens that were so commonplace then, but now you can't get them for love nor money. It's a shame that the old gets discarded to make way for the new - I would love to be able to grow some of those old plants just for nostalgic reasons.

Yes flowers and plants can hold some lovely memories, it was pansies for me when I use to go to my grandparents and my grancher grew rows upon rows along the side of the hedge its was a very long and large garden too with a sunken garden he had done him self which I have always wanted to recreate.

Looks so delicate, against the strong, succulent leaves in the background.
