Huge leaves for a mountain laurel

Daphnes actually like it neutral or even a bit alkaline but I do have slightly acidic soil (around 6.5). For mountain laurels, I make a sandstone planter and bury it so it's not visible and fill it with 50% sand and 50% peat to lower the pH to 5.0.

You have some lovely plants but would it be correct in thinking most of your garden is for acidic planting?
