Lobelia speciosa "Fan Scarlet"

By Meanie

Lobelia speciosa "Fan Scarlet" (Lobelia speciosa)

It looked as though this was another of the winters casualties, but a few stems have managed to develop, although it has struggled to produce a lot of flowers.
Although they're easy enough to get hold of, I'll lift this and overwinter it in a coldframe.

It's lovely, bought myself one of these a few days ago!

They're a garden favourite (apart from the truly horrible pink ones) of mine.
Good if we have wet summers (as seems to be the norm now) as they thrive in the damp.
