Lupin is taking the chill well. The phlox has just stopped doing anything but slowly fading.

This one I got without knowing color, hoping for blue. Just a few leaves. Really became a wonderful plant, and BLUE! Neighbor says hers never come back, but I'm gonna try.

Lots of straw or mulch on top will help right?

Thats the plan. I'm thinking a blog and photos for winter prep round here. I've a pile of pulled up grass to mulch it all. now and then a mouse moves in for the winter, the only down side. I had a hornets nest replace the mouse for summer that time. Gardening with hornets....not so pleasant....lol.
