Lori:
Thanks! It desperately need to be taken out of this pot and put into the ground.
It has a very long blooming season - virtually all year.

Makes me feel guilty for keeping my little specimen under such( for her) unnatural circumstances... I do my best to keep her happy.

Lori:
It does well in containers...however, it can really grow quickly in the ground. : >)

I think my leaves would look a lot more like your plants leaves if I gave her a nice new pot and some fresh compost... She deserves some TLC...tomorrow's to do list!...

Lori:
Do you have a Mandevilla 'Alice du Pont' ?

Yes...I think it must be.. it's very like your picture..only difference is the leaves and I have a feeling my plant is in need of better compost and warmth and she would have the nicely puckered leaves!

Lori:
It does well in pretty much any type of soil...with lots of water. It is a very quick-growing vine. This vine was given to me last summer or fall and it was a tangled mess. I cut it back to soil level and it quickly grew back.

Thanks D1! She's a beauty! I now have mine indoors as the nights have cooled significantly. She's still blooming with more buds to come!
