Yes, I think your climate is very similar to Southern California. However, you don't get the Santa Ana wind conditions, though. It's the very hot winds we get during winter...I've talk about many times in the past, on GoY.

Don't know why SF or Berkeley botanical gardens ignore the subtropical fruit tree's. Not a single Cherimoya or White Sapote.
I did see a Tea Camellia in SF..poor guy was nearly picked to death.
Mangoes are just great all around. Endure here is the question.

I don't think San Francisco would be a good place to grow mangoes. Although, most of the the other cities around the bay would be good...especially in the hills and South Bay.

Coffee trees, Cherimoya and tea Camellias would be great for San Francisco, though.
