Ok this herb can take over your herb garden a bit if you don't keep it in tact, I think it's one of the most powerfully scented ones as well and the leaves are lush green. You can also buy a variegated type - the leaves are yellow tipped & green.

Oooh no I haven't but it sounds lovely, I shall have to try and find a plant, I love the smell of lemon and lemon sherberts are my fav sweets too ;-)

Have you tried Lemon Verbena? It smells like old fashioned lemon sweets - you know the sort that contained lemon sherbert - the lemon fragrence is stronger than the balm and you can also use it in ice cubes and deserts.
