This one and the white flowering variety alba is grown very widely throughout all the low elevations of California. This vine is blooming in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. Photo taken May 25, 2011.

Beautiful, Delonix! I have trouble getting my pink one to bloom well, but my white one blooms fine. Both have a half day of sun in the morning, with shade all afternoon. Is there a feeding trick or suchlike to get the pink one to bloom?
