I do not do too well with these plants, start off well then it all goes downhill.

I set them in a container with stones in the bottom so water drains through and evaporates back up into the plant that sits above the water. (we"re not very humid here) Phaleonopsis like this can be kept in bark that should look moist all the time but not wet. Orchids get water from the air, not directly. They can be watered by immersing the medium for 10-20 minutes now and then. And good light. Good luck. :-)
