Lovely - they're almost indispensable, aren't they. I've planted three of these, as we took out the Spiraea bumaldii this week, which left a HUGE space! I had fun deciding what to plant instead. ;-)

Love these . . . my second favourite, lol (my favourite is P. Chatahoochee!).

I have never grown them before, so its all new to me! Looks like they will need a lot of support....

Mine don't, K???
Sheila, I like the 'other' Phlox, too, especially P. subulata, and I have Chatahoocohee as well - still in flower! :-))

Good news, thanks B. One of the stems on mine has hit the deck, but that's probably down to the puppy, who thinks a flower border is just a path to be explored!

I don't support mine either, Karen. Some do grow quite tall, but the clumps (mostly) seem to support each other. They are SO worth growing, and flower for weeks :)
Barbara, how do you propagate yours??

The first flower has opened on the first one! :))

What colour is it, K?
Sheila, I occasionally split a large clump, but that's all.

I'll get it on here today B.

I have a collection of Phlox paniculata....bought as plugs in the spring. They are growing....a bit slow to establish. One or two have buds on them though. Next year they will be more 'centre stage' :)
