They have newer variety- very yellow- that I like. A local hamburger fast food chain has them fronting a joint. I Have to get a photo at the right time. Seems like in early summer the landscape crew decides to chop them down to stiff 2' spikey leaves..the top color of the leaves is lost.

I think I might unwrap mine from their fleece "overcoats" this weekend. It wasn't a bad winter for them at all and they would probably have survived it on their own but better to be safe than sorry.
