Monterey Pine

Monterey Pine (Pinus radiata)

This is the fastest growing tree I have known. About 20years old . I believe it is used for Bio Mass in New Zealand. It grows much fastrer than Leylandii

I should mention the car belonged to my Grand Daughter she wanted to keep it despite being damaged, then let it rust so I told her I would bury it under my compost heap, which you can see starting to cover it. I put shading over it but it has blown off.

Wow ! You'd need to think carefully before you decide where to plant one of those!

Hi Grandad, you're doing well at burying Sarah's car! You can see from all these "likes" that it hasn't detracted from the lovely Montery Pine : )

Hi Nai. I hadn't realised how much it showed up. I have decided that burying it might be dangerous for thwe years to come in case it caved in on an unsuspecting compost heap climber
Gillian, I planted another of these Pines 11 years ago to hide a newly built house, two years ago I had to cut the top half down as it was taller than the house.
