Then you may have a few problems since it doesn't like very cold temperatures. Mine bloomed the first year, (I had used a heating mat to start the seeds early) and I occasionally get volunteers. It can get big if you don't prune it every year, but that's a good thing since it blooms only on new growth (I cut mine back in Feb., just before growth starts).

They seem ok - the two that I kept are 60cm tall and bushing out nicely in the conservatory. They're P.capensis, the smaller form.
