Growing Plumeria Plants From Seeds

Growing Plumeria Plants From Seeds (Plumeria rubra)

This plumeria flowered 7 months after the seeds were planted. It has been grown only under grow lights never being exposed to sun light.

With correct growing techniques the waiting time for plumeria plants started from seeds to flower can be cut significantly.

New exciting plumeria hybrids can only be produced from seeds.

It's not only a fun but also inexpensive way to increase one's plumeria collection.

Hi Milky,

Not all plumerias raised from seeds flower within 7 months. Most should bloom within 3 years. If they're supplied with warmth, correct lighting and fertilizer, the waiting time can be cut in half or even less.

When fertilizing your plumeria seedling, I would cut back on Nitrogen and increase the Phosporus and Potassium.

Happy Growing,

Bob

Hi Milky,

You're welcome.

I don't know how often you water your plumeria. I would cut back on watering a little and see what's happing.

Happy Growing,

Bob
