My Pastel Pink Plumeria is putting out blooms, when it should be pretty much dormant. We've had unbelievably hot weather here in inland San Diego for two weeks now. Today it was 90ºF/32ºC. in my neighborhood...some places further inland were even hotter. Photo taken Jan. 4, 2012.

Thanks! :>)
How warm has it been where you live?
This kind of heat this early in January is very rare. I remember temps hotter in later January, though. Every year we do get a heat wave in January...it's like clock-work. We do need some rain, however. I don't want us here in CA. to go back into another drought.

Hhmm. Low to high teens for the days but single digits for the evenings. Every day is different... As long as the sun shines it's nice and warm.
Wow, heatwaves in January....sounds good to me. ;o)

That sounds quite cool for your area.
The heatwaves in January can cause problems with some plants. Some of my plants can burn...like my papaya plants are doing now. The high heat comes with very low humidity which can cause desiccation to plant leaves.
It's been unusually warm for most of the U.S., the last several weeks.

Just saw a funny forecast for tomorrow....way too cold for here!!! Probably wrong again.
We do get cool temperatures, not freezing "usually".

Alexandramou:
I hope it doesn't get too cold for you, there! I hope the weather people are wrong!
We've had another beautiful hot day of 90ºF/32ºC. today. Tomorrow it may will cool down slightly. Tonight is still an unbelievably warm night. This weather is definitely not typical for very early January.

I don't know.....we've had a really nice winter so far....today doesn't look too good.
I envy you now....had enough with winter. I want our hot days back.

Is the weather suppose to stay cool for a long time?
I love this nice hot weather in winter. However, it's not looking good for California. The snow pack in the Sierra Mountains is only at 12% of normal. It appears we may be heading back into another drought. So, even though we love this hot, dry weather...we need the rain.

We're going to have bad weather for only a few days. It's really bad out there....strong winds from the south this morning and then they turned North a little after lunch. One of the electrical phases are down so we only have part of the house with electric...phone is down but the internet works???
I would love dry hot weather but I don't like droughts either. Remember, they turn our water off part of the day when in shortage!!!

How's the weather now?
It's still nice here...although, it's cooled down. Today it's suppose to be around 75ºF/24ºC.

24C sounds so good now.
It is a beautiful calm and cold sunny morning . Low teens I would guess.

It was absolutely gorgeous, yesterday!
Today is suppose to be even warmer....then on the Wednesday the temps will be back to normal, only highs of 68ºF/20ºC. Oh well, it couldn't last forever. lol! :>)
