Plumeria 'Red'

Plumeria 'Red' (Plumeria 'Red')

My very large Plumeria tree has burnt a little in the extreme heat we've been having in San Diego. It's been relentless heat for months. Plumeria love a lot heat; however, can burn when it get above 105ºF (41ºC). Photo taken Oct. 9, 2015.

Is it growing over a trellis?
Whats the palm to the right?
And,the tall plant plant behind the Plumeria?

Meanie:

This photo was before it burned. It still looks pretty good, though. I'm going to have to cut it back a bit, as it has a spread of 17 1/2 ft (5.4 m).

Stan:

I have stakes propping up the branches. Several branches started breaking due to the extreme drought.

Archontophoenix alexandrae is the palm to the right. It has gotten very tall and is flowering now. This is the first year its flowered since being started from seed about 9 or 10 years ago. I think its been in the ground for 7 years.

The tall skinny-trunked tree is my Thai Dwarf Papaya. It's dying. It produced a lot of fruit then the leaves started to all die very quickly. Maybe it's due to the extreme drought, though (or maybe its age). It looks like it wants to make a come back, though. There's some small leave growing and a side branch. I'll leave there until next spring.
