Pouteria sapota - Mamey Sapote

This poor Mamey sapote has so much die-back from drought and being so underwatered. This very tropical rainforest tree needs a tremendous about of water all year. It’s surprising it’s survived over 20 years in this garden. It will unfortunately never bear fruit not unless it’s given much more water. Photo taken Oct. 15, 2023.
