This 20 plus year old Nihoa fan palm is hiding under the bananas, Angels Trumpets, and Jungle Dragon Acalypha. It’s a slow growing, tough tropical palm native to the Hawaiian Island of Nihoa (bird island). It’s a rare palm which is not very wide available even at specialty palm nurseries here in San Diego, CA. Photo taken January 31, 2025.
