Can anyone say what the blue tuft in the centre of the flower is? I have never noticed this in any of my Pulsatillas but I might just be unobservant. I do find I am looking at my plants in a different way now that I have become a member of GOY.

The tuft is the end of the tubes that take pollen down to eventually make those pretty fluffy seeds. Can't think of Botannical term for it goes pistil, anther or something.......
