This is some of the beautiful plants/trees located on my friends' 250 acre (yes 250 acres) property in Palomares Canyon in the San Francisco Bay Area. Photo taken May 18, 2011.

I drive by the canyon every day. Its like in another country compared to the rest of the bay area.. many winding and hidden roads.

Yes, it's like being in the country, by the city. It's true this area is very expensive. My friends' have lived here since 1968. They used to own most of the land north of the San Mateo Bridge and I think it was 1,000 acres or more. When they sold this huge acreage all the family members were able to buy many hundreds of acres in Palomares Canyon.
