Rhododendron 'Princess Anne' - 2012

Scottish - my plant always does this. On checking, both 'Princess Anne' and 'Shamrock' have rhododendron keiskei as a parent ("green leaves often bronze or reddish in young growth") so I think this is something in their genetic make-up and nothing to worry about

Thank you for taking the time Andrew - my Shamrock looked great when it was flowering and the leaves were red - hope it does this every year :)

Andrew...do you know what causes the foliage to take on a red hue like this plant is showing - or is it normal? One of mine Rhododendron Shamrock done this.
