Rhododendron ‘Sapporo’

Hachmann hybrids from Germany (‘Hachmann’s Diadem’ x ‘Hyperion’)
I bought this in a small pot at local rhododendron society sale last spring. Now it is still in a pot, although bigger and it rewarded me with a single flower. Pushing new leaves so hopefully next year I will be able to see more flowers.

Yes, we live in the middle of old Douglas fir forest and they drop lots of needles. Rhododendrons are doing very well here.
