Another board member Thorney suggested its a variety called "Impala". Its not too late to start from seed this year. Annual? eh, others plant Marigolds, why not this?

Love the dark foliage too.

Annual here Stan, obviously doesn't like the cold. Flowers and dies, I wish it didn't. I wonder if it was in a pot and brought in in the winter if it would survive. It's worth a thought.

Ask a local nursery to order them already of a decent size. 6" pot to gallon size. Fast growers I hear. Maybe those will flower and go to seed?

What else?
See who else is growing Ricinus communis (Castor oil plant).
See who else has plants in genus Ricinus.

Ricinus Stan? Beautiful plants to fill a gap in the border. This photo reminded me I didn't grow it this year but I'll think about it now for next year. Such a shame it's just annual.
