These palms were soaking up the very warm weather in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. on March 11, 2013.

I know of a rather large R. boriquena growing there. However, they're very, very difficult to grow in the Bay Area. They tend to rot or get bacterial diseases in winter.

What do you think of the Royals being tried in the bay area?
I would think they could do well. I just need to try one.
