Yes unfortunately I don't think the lady who lived here could cope with it and it has gone a little mad! It is lovely though and Puppy cat thinks it is a fantastic climing tree! As for latin names I have recently graduated and my degree immersed me in animal taxonomy so I have a great interest in all these new latin names!

Wooppee!!! A fellow-'Latin-ite'!! You'll be in - dare I suggest it - good company here, Numbaten!
I coppice all our willows/osiers in February every other year, and they're more than happy with this seemingly brutal treatment. Though Puppy might object!

Really glad to hear it, Elle! It's so much easier to ID a plant with a latin name, especially if someone is looking for one to buy - then they can get the EXACT one they want!

What else?
See who else is growing Salix babylonica 'Tortuosa'.
See who else has plants in genus Salix.
