This picture was took from my office window. This fern is tall as 6-8 floors as you can notice by the size of the cars

Guapuruvus are known to grow like a stick right up to the sky, with a few leaves which fall as it grows, leaving marks in its trunk.
When it finds an open space then it slows down the growing and starts open the branches as an umbrela... its name comes from Tupi guaraní language and means "the lord of the valleys".
This one found the sky about 20 years ago, as the other ones around.
They grow till around 35-45m (~100 feet?)

Very beautiful Brazilian Fern trees! They are one of the my favorite trees. I love to see them bloom here in the Spring. These trees have become very popular in the last 20 years or so. The only problem is they grow so very quickly and get so tall and extremely large eventually as you said...they can only be grown in large yards or parks.

Oh yes the cars certainly help to give the height difference - these fully grown Aleyna or will they get taller ?
