Doesn't do well either in the ground or a container. It has never looked remotely like the plant I purchased 2 years ago!!

Ah, it's lived outside for 2 years Derek - that would explain it!
This was bought at a time when I believed the plant labels when they say Hardy! I'll give it some protection in neighbours greenhouse for winter. Thanks for that :)

Hi Scottish, yes it's very annoying when labels give you false information isn't it, I think they sometimes do it because they know a lot of people wouldn't buy a plant if they thought it wasn't completely hardy, either that or they would like to sell you a replacement every couple of years or so, Derek.

GCs and their marketing ploys - of which there are many!

I wonder if you bought it from the same GC as I used to buy mine. I had it in the raised bed for the last two years. It really has been disappointing so thank you for showing it and thank you Derekm I will pot mine up and store it in the greenhouse for the winter.

If it's the one you drive over the bridge too and the one I drive along the A89 too, then yes, that's the one!
Now we both know and can at least give it a fighting chance now!

Snap it was the one up the A89.

Hi Scottish, do you grow it as a house plant or in an alpine house?, if you have it outside it will suffer, as they're not completely hardy, Derek.
