A wider view of my little flowering African Tulip tree. Photo taken June 7, 2011. The very large Jacaranda tree in the front yard is in full bloom, too.

Thanks! The Jacaranda trees are in peak bloom now.
African Tulips and Jacaranda trees look very good together, especially when they bloom at the same time.

That must be a spectacular sight! I do like many different flowering trees blooming at the same time. Jacaranda, Gold Medallion (Cassia leptophylla) and Silk Oak (Grevillea robusta) trees all bloom together here. The huge golden flower clusters of the Gold Medallion, Silk Oak along with Jacaranda trees are so very spectacular.

Cassia leptophylla (Gold Medallion tree) is one of the most widely planted Cassia species grown here in San Diego. People absolutely love them...and they are very widely grown as a street tree. Yes, Silk Oak or Silky Oak is an Australia native. Of course, I think you know by now we grow so many of Australia's native trees here in CA. So many genera have naturalized here.
