not quite a plant photo but this is eldest on the way to her yr 11 prom. the lilac was a good backdrop to her and the car. she came home from hospital in it aged 5days old.

its a 1960 P4 Rover 80. we had a 1956 A35 for 30 yrs [sold to give space for a harley!], a mk1 cortina/consul 1963[i think] for 5 yrs. in the back garage there is a 1978 triumph spitfire. as well as the bikes.
i do well to get hubby to cut the grass and trim the beech hedge. :o)

i could fill a book.....
cars, british motor bikes, classic push bikes and the Humber Keel oh and he turns wood too!
wouldnt change him for the world though.
18 May, 2009
haha - so does mine! (wood, I mean...)
He is building a car at the moment and renovating an E-type as well. I agree - I'm not changing him, either!

mine rebuilt a triumph spitfire 11yrs ago just when i was home nursing a new baby and recovering from [unrelated] abdominal surgery. not the best at housework then!
he turned me a fantastic dibber and a pricker out 2 years ago and they are doing really well.

Mine built my obelisks - and turned finials for the top! As the wooden ones were a HUGE price on the net, I was (and am) really pleased!
I bought him the router for his birthday a couple of years ago.
Funny co-incidences, aren't they?

19 May, 2009
A mig-welder! Well... I did get my sculpture, and his pressy was a joint birthday/wedding anniversary one.
19 May, 2009
that was his 40th pressie. sounds as if they would get on like a house on fire too.
19 May, 2009
I bet they would - loads in common! Pity you live so far away! We could talk plants and they could chat about sprockets and gears... lol.

you have a beautiful daughter just looks like a princess!! i feel for her with heels having a knee problem- i fell down stairs a year ago my crushal ligament snapped of i tore the cartlidge and have a hole the size of a fifty pence on knee cap Ive had to put up with it as at the time had a flare up with crohn's decease and had to undergo major surgery so have to wait until fully recovered to have knee sorted. i hope your daughter had a great night and gets sorted with her knee she's far to young and beautiful to suffer.
