Nice pic, Aleyna. Had to google Tibouchina. What a beautiful flower it has on it!

Thank you Kate. We have several different tibuchinas species in our south.

I planted this shrub in 2016, before building the house. it had some flowers when it was planted, the next year it was covered with buds. Then the black frost burned the entire plant up to the trunk before the flowers opened. I was very dismayed by what happened. One of my friends who has a house nearby, and much more experience with the behavior of plants and the climate of the mountains, suggested that I cut the plant close to the ground. A few months later I noticed that it was growing again. I transplanted this bush 3 times, every time it was covered with buttons the frost burned. Now it only has the leaves, the first frost was not very strong and the plant resisted. Let's see how it will face the winter.

I shall be keeping my fingers crossed for you, Aleyna. Let us know how things go.
