I have 2 both around 10 years old and around 3m high.
one was about 30cm when I got the other was tiny in a 9cm pot, they seem to like my clay soil and have grown really quickly.

I,ve got a tall south facing wall quite near so its a sheltered spot as well.

Hers is huddled in the corner of tall south and west facing walls - a lot of mistakes were made early on, including planting Bamboo to give us some privacy in the garden!
