Both grow outside in the landscape here. They are widely used because they both are extremely drought tolerant.

It looks terrific! It's a common palm here, also.
Is that a Dracaena deremensis 'Warneckii' below? It's a very common landscape plant here in San Diego. I didn't think it would grow outside there, though. Wow! :>))
