The conifer was already established when I moved here in 1984. The wisterias were planted about 20 years ago

I was fortunate in that the year after planting, we had a very hot summer and that seemed to trigger them into flowering. They have bloomed every year since

aleyna BB said best to buy one with flower already on as seems a common problem no flowers, i saw some today with flowers and would have got one if i had somewhere to grow it
