Done!

I have planted up one of my raised beds, and nearly filled up the second one with the soil mix I use. I will get this filled up later this week then leave it for a couple of weeks before planting up. I always walk up and down on the soil to compress it then leave it to settle.
I shall post a photo or two of the bed later this week.
After checking my borders I was ecstatic to find that the most mature of my ginger lilies has a flower spike on it! Lets hope for some mild weather, a bit of sun, and no frosts and I might see it flowering!
Check out my website for more plant photos and some of the daft poems I write. Regards, Richard.

Scotland is sooo beautiful. I have holidayed there for the past 3 years: Kircudbright, then St Andrews and the Mull of Kintyre, then this year The Isle of Skye. Next year: the Isle of Harris/Lewis.

I haven't been to Harris or Lewis. You put us to shame. We talk about it and each year seems to go by.
Best wishes

I hope your ginger lilies will flower before the winter. Maybe you could show some photos of them

I have checked out your web site. I love geraniums too. I have some lilies in pots on my doorstep which I bring in every night to save them from frost. I am in Scotland and am determined to see them flower. Good luck with the ginger lilies.
Best wishes
Linda
