Hi dear Goys, here I am waiting for summer, and listen to the rain. Last week have been cold but no frost except one night. We have rain today, and warm forecast is also for next days, and that is good. The smell of fresh leafs is in the air, very strong, tulips are rising fast, and many trees are green now but leafs has not reach full size. Many of my Acers are ok. but many has unusual damages. And some are dead after this mild winter.
Here I post some new Acer pictures, as I am going to do for some weeks. This time Acer palmatum bloodgood. 1 – 1,6 m high a 3 year plant in my garden in Selfoss Iceland, and other is in my cold greenhouse. And more Acers next week..
That is some error, that all my photos are now on their side is someone how know to fix that ???

I turned my laptop on its side Gummin, they are lovely photo's, I have 3 little Acers that I hope will eventually look like yours, I've been putting them into the greenhouse overnight up until this week as its taking an age to warm up here, we seem to be weeks behind but hoping that means we will still have a summertime eventually, it cannot possibly be as bad as last year, fingers xx for all of us...

Your plants look vey healthy, Guðmundur.
I cannot imagine gardening in Iceland; my partner has been there on holiday and described it as a beautiful but rugged landscape with few wild plants. I imagine they have to be very hardy to cope with the weather. Is gardening popular in Iceland? Are there many nurseries there? Which plants are easiest to grow?
