Hello to old and new friends on GOY

Hello everyone!
I know i disappeared for some months but I hope you will accept me back? So much was going on in my life and something had to give but even though I gave up GOY my garden here kept me positive and life seems good now.
My little grand-daughter Brooke Summer is now 7 months and a joy. She came for a visit last week and enjoyed sitting on a mat in the garden as well as her first beach visit!
My eldest daughter Erika is to be married next August and Rog and I are also engaged! It’s more of a sign of commitment I think than about getting married. As a long time bachelor it may take him another 5 years to wed but I feel more secure now than I did. So all good!
And more importantly to this site what a gorgeous June we are having – and proper seasons!? Everything is blooming and thriving here. “A good year for the roses” !
My garden has more maturity now and more of an identity. I know more about what will thrive where now even though I still try to squeeze to much in! Container gardening helps a plantaholic like me – not only can I change things around in them when I fancy but I can always buy another pot!
I do hope all my old contacts on GOY are well and contented in their gardens? I so look forward to catching up with your photos and blogs – especially while the dreaded World Cup takes up all of Rog’s time for a month! – and I look forward to meeting new members.
